Stable Solutions was quick to leave the starting gate. This is how we got to where we are today...
Stable Solutions is a family-run, equestrian-owned business started by Monique Hodgkinson in 2006. Located on the rural California coast in the small town of Pescadero. Our mission is to create high quality, handcrafted products for horse lovers of all ages!
Monique has loved horses her entire life. At three years of age, she wanted a zebra, thinking they were fancy horses.
Monique's other passion has been the visual arts. As a child, she was always making pots from clay dug from the creek behind the house, which later blossomed into hand built ceramics. Later the fiber arts became a major interest.
When the neighborhood kids come over to visit, they always ask, "Are you going to make something the old fashioned way today?" Its true. Cakes baked from scratch, homespun yarn, handwoven shawls, handknit hats, and homemade soap. All made the old-fashioned way!
After working in Silicon Valley for 17 years, Monique decided to make a professional change in order to spend more time with her family. While working for a local lavender farm when she became interested in handmade soaps. In 2005 Monique learned to make soap with a riding buddy. The two friends made soap for fun and as gifts. For Monique, it soon became apparent that this was the perfect opportunity for her to unite her passion for horses, handmade products, and business into a new and exciting venture.
Stable Solutions is now a 2 person operation (plus Monique's family during peak times). We are enthusiastically introducing our products across the country. It is with great pride that Stable Solutions brings you our luxurious handcrafted products! We look forward to adding you to our list of satisfied customers.
